AI & Automation Engineer
Acendae is looking for a talented Associate AI & Automation Engineer to join our team full-time.
You'll work on a variety of AI, automation and software-related challenges for our international clients. This includes building smarter, connected systems using tools like n8n, Make.com, Claude, MCP and modern databases.
Your work may include building and maintaining automations with n8n, Make.com or similar platforms, connecting systems through REST APIs and webhooks, and working with Supabase and/or PostgreSQL. You will also design and work with databases and data models, and integrate LLMs into business workflows.
You'll work with Claude and MCP servers, build AI-powered workflows and background automations, and automate content and business processes. You will also sync data between different platforms and systems.
Another part of the role is understanding existing workflows and improving them, and documenting what you build so it remains scalable and maintainable.
This is a full-time, remote position in Sri Lanka at the Associate level.
Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining automations with n8n, Make.com or similar platforms
- Connecting systems through REST APIs and webhooks
- Working with Supabase and/or PostgreSQL
- Designing and working with databases and data models
- Integrating LLMs into business workflows
- Working with Claude and MCP servers

Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with n8n or a comparable automation platform
- Experience with REST APIs and webhooks
- Experience with Supabase and/or PostgreSQL
- Good understanding of databases and data modelling
- Experience working with LLMs and AI-powered workflows
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Able to work independently and take ownership
- Good English communication skills
- Someone who asks questions and thinks along with the team
- Good documentation habits
- A strong willingness to learn and develop your skills
Nice to have
- Familiarity with MCP and Claude
